Bikes are the most popular mode of transport in Copenhagen and visitors are also given the opportunity to experience the city on a bike. All you have to do is to find one of the 125 city Bike Parking places dotted about in the centre of the city, deposit a DKK 20 coin (about $3) and ride off - on your bike, Copenhagen style. When you are done using the bike you just return it and you get your money back. |

On 27 Nov, the City of Copenhagen's official Christmas tree in front of the City Hall is ceremoniuosly lit by the Mayor at 4pm. A Christmas parade with veteran fire fighter vehicles and nisser will start off from Nyhavn at 2:30pm, continue through the pedestrian street, Strøget, to finish up on the City Hall Square shortly before 4pm. On the way the city Christmas illumination in general will be turned on. Beautiful scenery with lamps lit in trees. |
